Part of ATSEA-2’s programme is to contribute to the IW:LEARN project, a Global Environment Facility’s (GEF) International Waters Learning Exchange and Resource Network (IW:LEARN).

On this year’s World Oceans Day on 8 June, IW:LEARN sent a special bulletin in the form of a newsletter, where they featured stories from GEF’s International Waters portfolio.

Included in that portfolio and newsletter was an article featuring 3 stories from ATSEA-2 highlighting efforts and progress that has been made throughout the programme so far. These stories represent the activities led by the currently active management units regionally and nationally (in Indonesia and Timor-Leste).

The articles featured are of the Stakeholder Partnership Forum (SPF) Focus Group Discussion (FGD) held in Jakarta on 3 March 2020, Indonesia’s National Coordinating Unit (NCU) participation in a Stakeholders Meeting for Fisheries Management in Jakarta on the same day, and Timor-Leste’s NCU hosting the National Inception Workshop in Dili on 16 December 2019.

With this special bulletin, ATSEA-2 were able to promote their programme through IW:LEARN’s vast network.
