The Arafura and Timor Seas Ecosystem Action (ATSEA) was recognised by the Center for Coastal and Marine Resources Studies of IPB University (CCMRS-IPB) as a strategic partner in research and development during the CCMRS 26th anniversary event held in Bogor on 2–3 February 2026.

ATSEA Interim Executive Director, Dr Handoko Adi Susanto, attended the event and received the recognition on behalf of the organisation. The event celebrated more than two decades of CCMRS contributions to coastal and marine research and brought together over 200 participants, including national and sub-national government representatives, IPB University leadership, researchers, private sector representatives, development partners, NGOs, and civil society organisations.
During the event, CCMRS highlighted its achievements over the past 26 years and shared its outlook for 2026. The collaboration between CCMRS-IPB and ATSEA was also acknowledged, including joint work in the updating of the Transboundary Diagnostic Analysis (TDA) and Strategic Action Programme (SAP) and assessments on small-scale Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing in East Nusa Tenggara Province.
The recognition reflects the continued partnership between ATSEA and CCMRS-IPB in advancing research and knowledge that support sustainable management of marine and coastal resources in the Arafura and Timor Seas region.
