Working in South Fly District, Western Province, ATSEA-2 will adopt an Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management (EAFM), comprising an artisanal fisheries management plan and the initial implementation of Rights-Based Fisheries Management in the region.
Local projects will also address the issue of Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing, with pilot schemes setting up infrastructure needed for community monitoring, control and surveillance.
