Welcome to the third edition of the ATSEA Newsletter in 2021.
In this publication, we deliver some highlights spanning the last three months of programme activities; from the ongoing ecosystem and fishery survey in Indonesia, to the GESI survey in three countries.
Our feature article for this third issue investigates how gender roles are perceived in the coastal communities of South Fly District in Papua New Guinea. Exciting news also comes from Indonesia, where East Nusa Tenggara Province takes the lead in preparing mitigation measures to control marine pollution in the Timor Sea.
Our vision is to create a high-quality publication that will be relevant, challenging, thought-provoking, and inclusive of a diverse range of voices and perspectives. Therefore, we are delighted that you are joining us as readers and hope you will also join us as contributors.
We hope you enjoy reading this third edition of the ATSEA Newsletter and look forward to bringing you updates in relation to challenges, opportunities and progress in the months ahead.
Take care and stay well,
The ATSEA-2 Team
